Vikram and Venita Vohra started their journey in the fall of 1996 having lived most of their early lives on the verdant tea estates of Assam and Darjeeling. Vikram followed his father’s footsteps, Mr C M Vohra, whose vast experience in the industry helped him to understand the art of tea manufacture and tasting. Later, he moved on to the esoteric field of blending teas which brought about a deep understanding of specialized packaging.

Venita is the daughter of Vishnu Lall. A well known tea planter and tea maker, Vishnu Lall is one of the pioneers in quality tea manufacture in Darjeeling with more than 32 years of experience in the field. Harnessing Venita’s artistic skills and love for nature, Vikram and Venita dreamed the vision to revive the elegant serenity, creativity, and comfort inspired by the art of tea. These two artistic souls have combined their belief in the transcendental properties of tea with their individual passions for art and culture.

The result of this vision and blend was Bag–a-Chai.
